About East Coast Credit Union
East Coast Credit Union is a member-owned Nova Scotia credit union tracing its roots to 1933, when farmers and fishers organized cooperative credit societies; the current entity was built through successive amalgamations, most recently a 2026 merger that folded in Acadian, iNova, Teachers Plus and other NS credit unions. Headquartered in Dartmouth, it serves over 60,000 members with about $1.77 billion in assets through roughly 20 branches from Cape Breton to Halifax, and is a certified B Corporation.
