About Glace Bay Central Credit Union
Glace Bay Central Credit Union is a small member-owned community credit union based in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. It absorbed the historic Reserve Mines Credit Union (Nova Scotia's first chartered credit union, founded 1933 by Father Jimmy Tompkins) through a 1998 merger, with Reserve Mines accounts consolidated into Glace Bay in 2020. It offers personal and business banking to the surrounding Cape Breton communities.
